Chuckle Club Launches GCC Wide Tour!!

Bahrain’s most popular comedy event The Chuckle Club is thrilled to announce an extended comedy tour of the GCC kicking off in January 2015. Next month’s line-up of hugely talented international comic imports will be heading to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Saudi before performing for three nights in the original home of the Chuckle Club, Bahrain on Wednesday 14th at the Rugby Club, Thursday 15th at the Brit Club and Friday 16th January at the Regency Intercontinental. Come on down to enjoy an evening of laughter and lighthearted entertainment!

American comic Sean Donnelly can be found headlining clubs all over New York, including Caroline's, Gotham, Stand Up NY, and The Stand. He has appeared on MTV’s World of Jenks and The Late Show with David Letterman. Sean was a Comic Stand-Off finalist at the 2010 Magners Comedy Festival, performed at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in 2011 and 2012, was a semi-finalist in the 2012 Boston Comedy Festival competition, and performed at Comedy Central’s 2013 South Beach Comedy Festival. Sean was a Montreal Just For Laughs “New Face” in 2013 and co-hosts the podcast My Dumb Friends with fellow comedian Dan St. Germain. Sean was featured on TruTV series World’s Dumbest and on the first season of Adam Devine’s House Party on Comedy Central. He currently can be seen on Amazon’s Alpha House and on the forthcoming season of Comedy Central’s Broad City.

Australia’s Chuckle Club contribution this month, Brendon Burns is not your everyday com-ic. Older, wiser, calmer (And after being fitted with a hearing aid, infinitely quieter) Brendon’s energy is still enticing. His turn of phrase is coarse yet oddly eloquent, whilst remaining fully accessible and intensely loveable. Never pompous and ever self-deprecating he just somehow seems to get away with murder. His influence is ubiquitous throughout the stand up world. Often replicated but never matched, his shows aren’t just extended sets, Burns specialises in creating experiences: forever exper-imenting with the form and throwing himself new challenges. With nine albums, eighteen one-man shows, three stand up live specials, he’s also a critically acclaimed author and playwright. We could mention he’s performed for over two decades at every festival around the world and done gigs on eve-ry continent bar the Antarctic (gig pending). “Honestly the best thing I’ve seen in ages”- The Guardian

Last but certainly not least, Chuckle Club’s Martin Mor, hails from Northern Ireland, and after a successful career as a circus performer, he turned his attention on the unsuspecting come-dy circuit. With over 25 years experience as a professional performer, Martin has established him-self as one of the UK’s most popular and in-demand comedians. Martin has performed successful-ly at events of all descriptions; from the Hammersmith Apollo to a show for the inmates of an Italian prison, from comedy clubs to performing before members of the British Royal Family. Very much the comedian’s comedian, Martin has been the support act of choice for; Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrot, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and once Tina Turner.
With numerous appearances on radio and television, Martin has worked at all levels of the indus-try; being a warm up man, devising and performing his own television show, and writing jokes for some of the biggest names in British comedy. A truly global performer, Martin has worked throughout the known world performing his shows extensively in Britain, Ireland, The USA, Italy, Holland, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Mainland China. “Off-beat, unusual, outrageous." Time Out.
