FIA World Endurance Championship – 6 Hours of Bahrain November 14/15
This weekend sees the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship taking place at the Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas and with it an increased interest in Bahrain prior to the BIC’s penultimate round of the series on November 15th.
This is the third time that BIC has staged the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 hour race and it places Bahrain on a calendar that features other legendary circuits and historic races; most notably the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of the most famous races in the history of the sport, Le Mans attracts well over one hundred thousand spectators for the day-night spectacle each year. BIC’s inclusion on another FIA calendar (the other being F1) underlines the pedigree of racing that takes place at the Sakhir track as it celebrates its eleventh year of competition in 2014.
