Bahrain’s most popular comedy event The Chuckle Club is continuing its tour of the GCC for a second run in February. This month’s line-up of hugely talented international comic imports will be heading to Dubai, Doha and Saudi before performing for three nights in the original home of the Chuckle Club, Bahrain on Wednesday 11th at the Rugby Club, Thursday 12th at the Brit Club and Friday 13th January at the Regency Intercontinental. Come on down to enjoy an evening of laughter and general jollity.

Dana Alexander began her career at the age of 18 years old in Canada, before long she began touring nationally with Yuk Yuk's Comedy Clubs and completing 5 television galas and a handful of radio spots for CBC and Sirius XM. In 2011 Dana made a move to the UK where she premiered her one-woman show at The Edinburgh Fringe to rave reviews and several nominations including "Best Comic" and "Best International Act" from Chortle and Black Comedy Awards.
It was not long before she began working in television on BBC programs like Russell Howard's Good News, Edinburgh Comedy Fest in 2012 and featuring on The Culture Show in 2013 for BBC Two. Dana continues to tour within in the UK and internationally in countries like Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Croatia, France, Norway, Serbia, Bahrain, Seychelles, Hungary, Malta, South Africa and many more, as well as for the British Troops. A must-see comic.

In 2005 British comedian Tom Allen won the coveted So You Think You're Funny? competition in Edinburgh and went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award later that year. He now performs his unique brand of stand-up across the UK and the world, including Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals. Early last year, Tom returned from Singapore to then go on the road supporting Sarah Millican on her UK tour. He then spent his summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing his solo show, Life/Style at The Stand Comedy Club, which he went on to perform around the UK.

“Lively, charismatic....the cream of the crop” - Time Out

Mark Normand is a biting, smart comedian based in New York City. In 2014, Mark was a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, premiered his Comedy Central Presents: THE HALF HOUR, and his debut “Still Got It” from Comedy Central Productions. He has previously appeared on Comedy Central’s @MIDNIGHT, TBS’s CONAN, Comedy Central’s INSIDE AMY SCHUMER, MTV Other’s INSIDE JOKE, Comedy Central’s JOHN OLIVER’S NEW YORK STAND UP SHOW, and won the 2013 Caroline's March Madness competition, beating out 63 other comedians. This is a shocker for all of us but he was also voted Village Voice's "Best Comedian of 2013", I know right? Quit bragging!!! Mark now does comedy clubs and colleges across the country and has been involved in many festivals including Portland, Seattle, DC, Boston, and was featured as a New Face at the Montreal Comedy Festival, where he recorded a set for Canadian TV.

In NYC Mark now runs two comedy shows and two podcasts in NYC, “Hot Soup” a weekly show, “We're all Friends Here”, a live show also recorded as a podcast, and "Tuesdays with Stories!” a podcast from Stand Up NY Labs. More annoying accolades: Mark was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics To Watch for the 2011 New York Comedy Festival. Mark was also named to Esquire’s “Best New Comedians 2012”, Splitsider’s “Top 10 Up and Coming Comedians on Each Coast”, and Time Out New York’s “21 New York Comedy Scene Linchpins”.

“The wry, effortlessly likable stand-up, whose piquant hand gestures smack of Carson, evokes a bygone era of comedians as entertainers first.” – Time Out NY

Punchline Media, which was formed in 2011 and is the umbrella company for The Chuckle Club, focuses on event management and promotion. The company’s main objective is to deliver premium quality entertainment, bringing acts such as Jazzy Jeff, Maz Jobrani, Max Amini and a plethora of other international talent to Bahrain shores.

The Chuckle Club echoes the format of international comedy clubs, operating a regular monthly tour, which brings three popular international comedians to Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi and the UAE each month.
